Allergy Treatment Remedies
Allergy - An allergy is an abnormal, acquired sensitivity to a given substance, including pollen, drugs, or numerous environmental triggers. The term was coined by the Viennese pediatrician Clemens von Pirquet in 1906 after noting that some of his patients were hypersensitive to normally innocuous entities such as dust, pollen, or certain foods. Pirquet called this phenomenon "allergy", from the Greek words allos meaning "other" and ergon meaning "work". (Wikipedia)
Allergy-causing substances may also include micro-organisms, toxins from micro-organisms, foods, food additives and colorings, building materials, paints, adhesives, floorings, counter materials, pet dander and other unknown sources.
The main premise of an allergic reaction is an inflammatory response, typically associated with a mucous membrane that has become hypersensitive and reactive to various substances, usually proteins from foods and/or environmental substances- natural or synthetic. They are characteristically acquired reactions, meaning that one will have had one or more prior exposures to the substance(s) in order for the hypersensitivity to occur. This reaction is often caused by a deficient level of IgA, secondary to the inflammation, the most common immuno-globulin produced on all of the mucous secreting membranes. IgA is often one of the first defensive substances utilized by the body’s immune system. The primary and usual site of initial mucous membrane sensitivity is the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract. Once the GI tissues are inflamed and reactive, the other mucous membranes may also then become reactive, producing the classic sinusitis, itchy, watery eyes, or even a sore throat and other respiratory complaints.
Along with assessing the patient for the causative agent(s), the PleoSANUM Remedies are often very beneficial in treating allergic reactions.
